Street Angels Foundation was founded in 2024 by Amin Sheikh with a mission to create dignified opportunities and safe spaces for marginalised children and youth. Amin’s own journey began when he ran away from home at the age of five and survived on the streets of Mumbai before eventually finding shelter in an orphanage. With the support of mentors, education, and determination, he transformed his life story into a source of hope for others.

In 2016, this vision led to the creation of Bombay To Barcelona Library Café — a café that provides employment, emotional support, and a nurturing environment for young people from slums, orphanages, and vulnerable backgrounds. Beyond livelihoods, the café encourages confidence, creativity, and entrepreneurial dreams.

To expand this impact, Street Angels Foundation now runs four key initiatives:
• The Dream Fund – supporting the education of children of single mothers working at the café.
• Little Gurus’ Nest – a free preschool in Marol offering Montessori and Waldorf-inspired learning for children from underserved communities.
• Empower Her – providing employment, training, and upskilling opportunities for women teachers and caretakers.
• Jeevan Deep – helping vulnerable youth access safe and dignified shared housing.

The café remains the primary source of funding for these projects, supported by volunteers, donors, and well-wishers who share a belief in creating lasting social change.

At Street Angels Foundation, we believe that every child and young person deserves education, opportunity, dignity, and a sense of belonging. If you believe in the same, do connect with us by messaging on this platform. We are because of you.
