At Street Hearts BG, our aims are to prevent unwanted puppies and reduce dog abandonment. Therefore, our main tasks involve neutering street dogs and working with owners to educate and facilitate the neutering of their pets.

Many dogs are abandoned due to illness, pregnancy, or because their owners no longer want them. Through education and by providing a free neutering service, we aim to decrease the number of dogs living on the streets. Post-neutering, dogs are generally not returned to the streets due to risk of harm. We rehabilitate these abandoned dogs, provide training, and seek suitable homes for them.

We re-home dogs in Bulgaria and the United Kingdom, and people from all over the world have also travelled to our shelter to adopt a dog.

A unique aspect we're proud of is our daily pack walks in the Bulgarian countryside, ensuring our dogs are fit, healthy, socialised, and happy. Our dogs do not live in traditional kennel environments but in natural habitats where they can integrate, roam, stay stimulated, and be content.
