Founded in 2025 by Dr. Jimmy Bagley-a scientist, professor, and cancer survivor-the STRIDE Cancer Foundation is dedicated to advancing research in oncology, exercise, and nutrition. With decades of expertise in skeletal muscle physiology and human health, Dr. Bagley experienced firsthand the transformative benefits of exercise during his own cancer journey.

What sets us apart? STRIDE is the only foundation that directly funds and supports students researching oncology through the lens of exercise and nutrition. By empowering the next generation of scientists, we aim to drive groundbreaking discoveries that explore how movement and diet can enhance treatment, recovery, and remission.

We fund undergraduate and graduate student researchers investigating how nutrition and exercise can reduce cancer risk, enhance treatment effectiveness, and support recovery and long-term well-being
