Rick Perkins is an educational leader with over 24 years of experience in both traditional and virtual settings. They began their career as an English Teacher and Dean of Students with the Polk County School Board from 1996 to 2002. Following this role, Rick served as a School Administrator at the School District of Hillsborough County before transitioning to Florida Virtual School, where they held various positions including Teacher, Principal, and Director of Instructional Operations from 2004 to 2013. From 2013 to 2022, Rick worked at Edmentum as Director of Academy Services and later as VP of Instructional Services. Currently, they are the Vice President of Innovative Instructional Models at Stride, Inc. Rick holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
