Sean McGrew is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in educational assessment and research. Currently serving as Vice President of Data Science at Stride, Inc. since August 2017, McGrew previously held leadership roles at Catapult Learning, including Vice President of Assessment & Evaluation and Director of Research and Evaluation. Earlier experience includes serving as Director of School Innovation & Best Practices and Research Analyst at the School District of Philadelphia, as well as Research Associate at the Philadelphia Education Fund, where contributions included designing and conducting statistical analyses for the Philadelphia Education Longitudinal Study. McGrew earned a PhD in Educational Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Arts in Ancient Near Eastern and Biblical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Dallas Theological Seminary, as well as an AB in English from Davidson College.
