Brad Groff

Brad Groff is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as Tech Lead for Data Science at Stripe since December 2024, Groff previously held significant positions at Shopify from March 2021 to November 2024, including Head of Commerce Data Engineering and Data Science Lead for Storefronts. At Shopify, Groff played a pivotal role in overhauling the data warehouse and building the data science team from the ground up. Prior to Shopify, Groff was VP and Head of Data at Button, where the Evolution suite was developed under Groff's direction. Groff's earlier career also includes leadership as the Head of Data Science and Data Engineering at OrderGroove and as Senior Manager for Data Science at Capital One. Groff holds a BA in Mathematics from Boston College and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Chicago.
