Daniel Kroupa is a seasoned professional in the field of clean energy and technology commercialization, currently serving as the Diligence Lead for Frontier Carbon Removal at Stripe since January 2024. Prior to this role, Kroupa co-founded BlueDot Photonics, where as Co-Founder and CTO, the focus was on developing innovative optical tandem solar technology. Experience includes a significant tenure at the University of Washington as a CoMotion Commercialization Fellow, where Kroupa created a technology commercialization plan and won the “Spirit of I-Corps” award, and also served as a Washington Research Foundation Innovation Fellow in Clean Energy. Earlier positions included a postdoctoral researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and various roles in education and research at institutions such as Caltech and Butler University. Kroupa holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Chemistry with Highest Honors from Butler University.
