Eliot Alter

Eliot Alter is a seasoned software engineer currently working at Stripe since October 2019 on the Reliability Tooling team. Previously, Eliot served as a Database Reliability Engineer and Full Stack Web Developer at Yelp from September 2014 to August 2019, where a passion for refactoring code and backend systems was demonstrated. Early experience includes a software developer internship at Microsoft, where Eliot developed a tool to analyze social media sentiment regarding Xbox, as well as projects at Hi Ku Studios, TargetSpot, and WeAdoorn, encompassing iOS game development, web development, and programming in Python. Eliot holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Tufts University, achieved in 2014.
