Greg Buehrer is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. As the Head of GenAI and ML Foundations at Stripe since October 2025, Greg focuses on developing innovative financial platform solutions. Prior to this, Greg held various significant positions at Microsoft from 2011 to 2025, including Corporate Vice President for Azure AI Services, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing a range of AI-driven technologies. Additional roles at Microsoft included distinguished engineer, general manager of the Edge Consumer Browser, and partner architect for the AI platform. Early career experiences include data science leadership at OfferUp and software engineering roles at Facebook, Autoclick, and Avatar Syndicate. Greg's academic credentials feature a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Toledo.
