Shawn Chen is the Global Head of Litigation, Legal Ops, Employment, Financial Crimes, IP, and Risk Legal at Stripe. Previously, Shawn held high-ranking legal positions at HSBC and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Shawn's legal career also included roles at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Louis F. Oberdorfer and Judge Jon O. Newman. Shawn holds a Doctor of Law degree from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.
