Stephen Cox is Strivacity’s co-founder and chief technology officer. On the front lines of redefining Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), Stephen drives all aspects of engineering and operations – from product development to quality assurance to DevOps to infrastructure operations to information security.
Stephen has been ingrained in the IT industry for nearly 20 years, with 10 years of experience leading software development teams in security markets. A key player in some of the most influential IT security firms in the world, he is recognized as an expert in identity, network and endpoint threat detection, as well as an accomplished software architect.
Prior to co-founding Strivacity, Stephen served as vice president and chief security architect at SecureAuth, where he helped establish identity as a fundamental pillar of security. Beforehand, he served as technical lead of the endpoint and “FireEye-as-a-Service” development teams at FireEye, which acquired Mandiant. These teams specialized in forensics and endpoint event monitoring as part of the FireEye HX platform. And prior to FireEye/Mandiant, Stephen was a principal developer of NetWitness Spectrum at RSA NetWitness. Stephen also spent numerous years at VeriSign supporting the DNS Resolution Operations team, and in various software development roles at Northrop Grumman and AOL.
Stephen holds a Master of Science degree in software engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in integrative studies, both from George Mason University.
