Scott E P. is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in technology and academia. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Striveworks since 2022, previous roles include Director of Engineering at Opendoor and Head of Engineering/Acting CTO at The Voleon Group. Scott's background also features positions such as Principal Data Scientist at Volt Markets and Staff Engineering Architecture Manager at 8th Wall, along with a brief tenure as Team Lead Manager at Google, focusing on resource planning within Google Cloud. In academia, Scott contributed as a Lecturer in Computer Science at Rice University, where a popular course in Web Development and Design was developed, and served as an Associate Professor at Western International University. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Physics and multiple degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of California, Berkeley.
