Martin Van Onna has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Martin started their career as a Project Manager at Airborne in 1998 before moving on to work as an Area Manager at Philips Consumer Electronics from 2000 to 2003. From 2003 to 2007, they served as the General Manager at ASEP BV, where they were responsible for the NL business unit and achieved significant growth in turnover and profit. In 2007, Martin founded Strohm, the world's first and leading manufacturer of Thermoplastic Composite Pipe, and served as the General Manager until 2012. Martin then became the Chief Commercial Officer and later the Deputy CEO of Strohm, overseeing its successful scale-up in the Oil & Gas and Renewables markets. In 2019, they joined the Advisory Board of MCE Deepwater Development on behalf of Strohm. Overall, Martin Van Onna has demonstrated strong leadership and business development skills throughout their career.

Martin Van Onna attended Delft University of Technology from 1991 to 1998, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Aerospace Engineering. In 2019, they attended INSEAD and completed the Advanced Management Programme, focusing on Business Administration and General Management.
