Mehrdad Bor

Mehrdad Bor has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Mehrdad is currently a Senior Composite Engineer at Strohm, where they have been employed since 2019. Prior to this, they held the role of Technical Proposal Engineer at the same company for a period of one year and nine months. Before joining Strohm, Mehrdad worked at STRUCTeam Ltd as a Project Engineer for two years and nine months. In this role, they were responsible for structural design and engineering of high-performance composite components, as well as concept development, analytical calculations, and documentation of engineered solutions. From 2012 to 2016, Mehrdad was an Analysis Engineer at Magma Global Ltd. Mehrdad began their professional career in 2011 as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Frictec Ltd, where they completed a university placement year. In this role, they applied finite element analysis (FEA) to design solutions for clients and participated in ISO-9001 qualification programs.

Mehrdad Bor completed their education at two institutions. From 2008 to 2011, they studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Portsmouth, earning a BEng degree. Later, from 2015 to 2016, Mehrdad attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, specializing in Numerical Simulation. Within the additional certifications they obtained, some notable ones include "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera in February 2022, "ANSYS Mechanical Advanced - Use of MAPDL in Mechanical" from ANSYS, Inc. in July 2019, and "Introduction to Composite Manufacturing" from LinkedIn in May 2019.
