Alison Simmonds has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Alison started their career in 2013 as a Bar Staff at the Royal Ascot Golf Club, where they gained valuable skills in time management, people skills, and working independently as well as part of a team. In 2016, they took on the role of Health Promotion Intern at Bowel Cancer UK, contributing to health promotion activities. Alison then joined the NHS in 2017 as a Hub Screening Assistant, where they worked until January 2022. During their time with the NHS, they gained experience in screening and assisting in healthcare services. Most recently, Alison joined the Stroke Association in 2020 as a Stroke Support Coordinator and later became a Service Delivery Coach in August 2022. Alison'scurrent role involves providing support and coaching for stroke survivors.
Alison Simmonds pursued their education in the field of Clinical Nutrition/Nutritionist from 2011 to 2016 at Kingston University, where they earned a degree in Nutrition.

The Stroke Association is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. They believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke. They provide specialist support, fund critical research and campaign to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives. Rebuilding lives after a stroke is a team effort. It takes the determination of stroke survivors and carers, the generosity of supporters and the dedication of the healthcare and research communities to get there. To help in the recovery of stroke survivors the Stroke Association provides information, support and advice. Their key areas of work include: support services, information, research, fundraising, campaigning, and volunteering.
