Strøm is an independent organisation creating experiences and presenting new perspectives through knowledge sharing and development of skills for people of all kinds and ages. All starting in and around electronic music, as well as the cultures and technology surrounding it.

Whether we do a rave in a moving metro train, concerts in underground water reservoirs or old churches, invite some of the worlds biggest DJs to play a rollerdisco, have a chat with an international artist, present a bass-healing chair with bass, or host a workshop on algorithmic music composition, we do it to present things we love, to other people.

Strøm is spread out over the course of the year, but with a peak in August for the annual Strøm Festival, where we present experiences of all kinds of electronic music in a wide range of venues.

Throughout the year we do experiences and knowledge projects all over Denmark. From three day workshops in music-production for kids in ground school, over to permanent sound exhibitions by Danish electronic music legends.

To ensure a strong position for the electronic music environment and organisations within it, we also work politically and have among other things established Slæng and BAO (organisations of cultural producers) as well as forming the organisation of Electronic Music in Denmark. The latter was based on a large piece of research done alongside Roskilde Festival, mapping out the electronic music scene and the conditions on it.

No matter what we do, we always strive to ensure the highest quality in both the content and the surroundings, meaning that we always work with highly professional sound technicians operating second-to-none soundsystems in great venues.

At Strøm, we work for a thriving electronic music scene for everyone, and do so through collaborations and responsibility!
