Johnny Chen

Johnny Chen's work experience begins in 2020 as a Physics Tutor at the University of Washington. In 2021, they worked as a Backend Engineering Intern at Spark Internship. In 2022, Johnny was a Software Engineering Intern at M1, where they designed and implemented a scheduler to improve portfolio operations and refactored a brokerage microservice. In 2023, they became an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Washington and later joined StrongDM as a Backend Engineer.

Johnny Chen completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Washington, from 2018 to 2022. Before that, they pursued their IB diploma from SSIS | Suzhou Singapore International School, from 2015 to 2018. Johnny also obtained several additional certifications, including a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Washington in December 2022. Johnny also obtained a Lightbend Scala Language Professional - Level 2 certification from Lightbend, Inc. in June 2022. Additionally, Johnny earned certifications in Programming Foundations: Databases from LinkedIn in July 2021, and Learning Gradle from LinkedIn in March 2021.
