Ivan Thung

Ivan Thung is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the built environment, sustainability, and urban planning. Currently a Co-Founder at Structural Collective since March 2025, Ivan previously held various leadership roles at Metabolic from June 2022 to March 2025, including Lead Built Environment and Programme Lead for the Circular Buildings Coalition, focusing on sustainable construction. Prior experience includes serving as Programme Manager and Technical Advisor at UN-Habitat from July 2019 to June 2022, and earlier roles at the same organization from 2015 to 2018, specializing in recovery, resilience, and urban planning. Ivan's career also includes architectural work at Cityfoerster Rotterdam and editorial contributions in academic and industry publications. Educational credentials include an MSc in Architecture from Delft University of Technology and a Master of Arts in Philosophy of Science from Erasmus University Rotterdam, supplemented by a Data Science Bootcamp at Le Wagon.
