Matt K.

Matt K. has extensive experience in the field of network engineering. Matt started their career at EarthLink Business in 1999, where they worked as a Network Engineer II. During their time there, they were involved in various projects such as removing Layer3 Core Routing functions, migrating sites off legacy core networks, and performing AS integration and RAP migrations.

In 2013, Matt K. moved to World Wide Technology, where they served as a Routing and Switching (RS) Engineer. In this role, they led projects to bring Cisco WAAS devices into compliance with company standards, standardize QOS models, and introduce redundancy to network Points of Presence (POPs).

Since 2015, Matt K. has been working at Structured Communication Systems as a Sr. Network Engineer. Matt has been responsible for deploying and upgrading networks for clients such as lumber companies, oil companies, and school districts. This includes tasks such as configuring and deploying remote sites, upgrading networks from 1Gb to 10Gb capacity, and utilizing technologies like Juniper switching, Palo Alto firewalls, and Ruckus wireless.

Matt K. attended The Art Institutes from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Interactive Media Design. Matt obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) from Hewlett Packard Enterprise in September 2017, the Brocade Professional IP Administrator 2016 from Brocade in July 2016, and the Cradlepoint Certified Network Professional from Cradlepoint in May 2023. Other certifications include the Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) in October 2021, the Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Automation and DevOps (JNCIA-DevOps) in October 2018, and the Juniper Networks Certified Design Specialist, Service Provider (JNCDS-SP) in May 2021. Matt K. also holds certifications from Juniper Networks, such as Juniper Networks 5-3-1 Certified in August 2020, Juniper Networks Certified Design Specialist, Security (JNCDS-SEC) in March 2021, and Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Mist AI (JNCIA-MistAI) in January 2021. Matt has also earned the CompTIA A+ ce Certification in October 2020 and the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) in July 2008. In addition, Matt K. received the Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) in February 2019 and various other certifications from Juniper Networks, including Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Service Provider Routing & Switching (JNCIS-SP) in November 2018 and Juniper Networks Certified Design Specialist, WAN (JNCDS-WAN) in May 2018. Finally, they obtained the Legendary Technical Champion designation from Juniper Networks in October 2022.
