Amanda Schmidt is a Senior Project Engineer in R&D at Stryker, focusing on trauma. Currently, Amanda is also an Industrial Doctorate Candidate, working on the design and development of tubular composite scaffolds for tissue engineering applications, like heart valve replacements. Previously, Amanda served as an Associate Researcher at the AME Institute of Applied Medical Engineering and held a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern position at ESB International. Amanda earned a Master of Science in Research in Bioengineering from Trinity College Dublin and holds a BE Honours in Mechanical Engineering from Technological University Dublin.
