Dave Stewart

Dave Stewart is a Chief Software Architect specializing in embedded systems, currently leading the software development for next-generation defibrillators and vital monitoring devices at Stryker. With a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, they have previously served as a computer engineering faculty member at the University of Maryland and held leadership positions at several innovative companies, including Embedded Research Solutions and InHand Electronics. Stewart's expertise encompasses the full software life cycle, real-time operating systems, and embedded architecture across various industries such as aerospace, medical devices, and mobile computing. They have also contributed as a speaker and track chair at Embedded Systems Conferences from 1998 to 2015.
