Hancun Chen

Hancun Chen is currently an R&D Fellow and Senior Principal R&D Engineer at Stryker Neurovascular, where they have worked since 2011, focusing on embolic coils and occlusive devices. With over 11 years of experience in medical device R&D, Hancun has expertise in metallurgical processes, fine wire braid design, and chemical etching for nitinol-based implants. They previously held positions at Boston Scientific and Praxair, Inc., where they contributed to various projects and developed key technologies. Hancun has filed over 35 US patent applications and published more than 30 journal and conference papers, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Metallurgy at the Metal Research Institute.
