Michael McGovern

Michael McGovern has extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as Chief Engineer at Stryker since July 1994, where responsibilities include providing technical oversight for implant design and implementation into robotics. Previously, as Senior Manager for Global R&D in Shoulder, Elbow & Clavicle, Michael managed a team of eight engineers across the US and Switzerland. Earlier roles at Stryker included managing five engineers and overseeing project technical details in the Upper Extremities division. Michael started his career as a Quality Engineer at Kearfott from 1991 to 1994. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
