STUDIO NIRO is an all-female team that brings a wealth of experience in the arts, culture, residential and heritage sectors, built over many years with respected, award-winning practices in Scotland and internationally.

Since founding STUDIO NIRO in 2018, directors Nicky Thomson and Rowan Mackinnon-Pryde have applied this experience directly to every project, working throughout Scotland and further afield. As a small practice, we offer a highly personal service that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Our work spans graphics, branding, furniture, exhibitions, interiors, refurbishment, and new build.

In addition to a host of private commissions, clients include British Council Scotland, Aberdeenshire Council, Hub South East for Edinburgh City Council, Scottish Fisheries Museum, City of Edinburgh Council, Pier Arts Centre, Griffin Schools Trust, Old Luce Development Trust, Granton Community Gardeners.
