Peter Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Peter currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Studyportals, where they focus on making insight-led decisions and ensuring solid financial and strategic foundations.

Previously, Peter was a Fellow at the London COO Roundtable and a Trustee & Treasurer at We and AI.

Peter also has a significant tenure at The Student Room Group, where they held multiple positions including Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer/Board Member. During their time there, they executed and delivered upon company strategy, oversaw the development and release of projects, and allocated company resources to create maximum value for stakeholders. Peter played a crucial role in the growth of TSR Group into the UK's only online student community of scale.

Prior to their work at TSR Group, Peter was the Head of Business Intelligence at Jobsite, where they led the business intelligence and analytics function and improved data accessibility for better decision making. Peter also worked as the Head of Operations at JobsGroup.net, where they provided operational ownership, financial accountability, and leadership to support the business's overall strategy.

Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated their ability to drive growth, execute strategies, and improve operational efficiency.

From 1998 to 2000, Peter Barnes pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy at the University of Plymouth.
