Erfan Soliman

Erfan Soliman has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Erfan is currently serving as a Co-Founder of StudyStream, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, Erfan was also a Co-Founder of Cibus Health, where they aimed to improve the feeding process for infants through continuous monitoring of physiological biomarkers. Erfan'srole at Cibus Health lasted from February 2019 to March 2021.

Erfan's previous experiences include founding Oxford Global, a social enterprise that organizes educational programs to introduce students to diverse viewpoints and global issues. Erfan held this position from March 2015 to March 2021.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Erfan worked at the University of Oxford as a Programme Manager at Enterprise Process Labs (EPL-HIT) from July 2019 to December 2020. Erfan also served as a Stipendiary Lecturer at Somerville College from October 2018 to September 2020, an MPLS Enterprise Fellow from September 2018 to March 2020, a Healthcare Innovation Fellow from September 2017 to September 2018, and a Graduate Lecturer & Research Coordinator from October 2014 to September 2017. In these roles, Erfan was involved in teaching and coordinating research projects in various fields, including engineering mathematics, chemical thermodynamics, tissue engineering, and biomedical engineering.

Erfan's work experience also includes a role as a Project Consultant at Tamweelcom, where they led a team to analyze the Jordanian microfinance market and develop loan-acceptance prediction methods using logistic regression. Erfan held this position from October 2013 to June 2014.

Furthermore, Erfan worked as a Product Engineer and Design Strategist at U.S. Green Data, Inc. from January 2012 to May 2012, and as a Software Engineering Intern at Endeca from June 2011 to August 2011. In these roles, they contributed to the development and optimization of data management, search functionality, and business intelligence products.

Prior to these experiences, Erfan served as a Teaching Fellow & Course Assistant at Harvard University, where they taught mathematics, electrical engineering, and computer science concepts from April 2010 to May 2011. Erfan also worked as an Electrical Engineering Analyst at Qatar Chemical Company from June 2010 to August 2010, collaborating with a control systems engineering team to optimize performance and increase electrical protection efficiency.

Erfan Soliman completed their undergraduate education from 2008 to 2012 at Harvard University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (S.B.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2017, they attended the University of Oxford, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Engineering Science. In April 2017, Erfan obtained an additional certification as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy from the Higher Education Academy institution.
