Tanisha Jones

Academic Curriculum Designer at StudySync

Tanisha Jones has over fifteen years of professional experience in education and the arts. In 2021, they began working as an Academic Curriculum Designer for StudySync. From 2014-2018, they worked at ETS as a Chief Scoring Leader, specializing in SAT and various statewide exam analysis through evaluating student writing performances (essays). During this time, they were also an AP Research, World History, English & Model United Nations Educator at St. Augustine Preparatory School. In 2018, they became a Research Methods & Information Literacy Professor at Universidad Americana (UAM). From 2010-2014, they were the History Department Chair & Humanities Teacher at International Christian School Heredia. From 2008-2010, they were the Director of Learning and Development at KnowledgePoints, Inc. From 2005-2008, they were a Media Literacy Teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools. From 2005-2002, they were an Assistant Director & Stage Manager at Everyman Theatre and The Palace- Stamford Center for the Arts. In 2003, they were an Entertainment Specialist at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, New York Public Library.

Tanisha Jones began their education journey at White Plains Senior High School, followed by Fashion Institute of Technology where they obtained an Associate of Arts - AA in Mass Communication/Media Studies in 2000. Tanisha then attended The City University of New York where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Media Communications - Film/Video Production in 2004. Tanisha continued their studies at Mercy College, graduating with a Master of Science - MS in Secondary Education and Teaching in 2005. In 2009, they attended Yale University for a Fulbright Hayes - Educators Field Study. In 1999, they also completed a Specialized Sales, Merchandising and Marketing Operations course at Polimoda.
