Tom Kimbrell

Tom Kimbrell is an experienced forward deployed engineer currently at Stuut since August 2025. Prior to this role, Tom served as a principal software engineer at Verify from May 2023 to May 2025. Tom's background includes a technical product manager position at Cruise, where responsibilities included improving manufacturing root cause analysis time, and earlier roles as a senior software engineer and software engineer to support scaling autonomous vehicle production. As a co-founder and CTO of Sportme from November 2020 to March 2022, Tom played a key role in funding elite athletes through mentorship programs. Tom's experience at General Motors spanned various engineering roles from 2016 to 2020, contributing to autonomous vehicle systems and integration. Early professional experiences include a technical specialist position at Lockheed Martin and research roles during undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
