Oliver Wright

Oliver Wright has a diverse work experience in journalism and media. Oliver started their career as a Journalism Work Experience at Johnston Press in 2015. Oliver then worked as a Production Intern and later as a Production Assistant at Radio Borders from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Waterstones as a Bookseller. From 2019 to 2021, they served as a freelancer at Bauer Media Group - UK, working as a Multi Media News and Sport Reporter/Bulletin Editor. In 2020, they worked as a Freelance Journalist at Central FM. In 2021, they worked as a Social Media Researcher at BBC Scotland, and then as a Journalist - Radio News at BBC News. Currently, they are working as a Multi Media Journalist at STV Group plc since August 2023.

Oliver Wright attended Glasgow Caledonian University from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia Journalism. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications from the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). These certifications include Court Reporting (obtained in May 2022), Essential Journalism (obtained in January 2022), Media Law (obtained in April 2021), Public Affairs (obtained in December 2019), and Teeline Shorthand 60WPM (obtained in April 2019).
