Amanda Canyon

Amanda Canyon has over 12 years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Styra. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Frontend Developer at Interana, where they worked on a new version of an analytics product in React and created dashboards, SVG charts, and knowledge objects. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Founder & CEO of TrendClub, where they developed a revolutionary top-secret marketing platform. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Product Engineer at Mixpanel, where they worked on dynamic frontend/backbone reports, responsive landing pages, API work, and iOS lib additions. From 2012 to 2013, they were the Ruby Tuesdays Organizer at Women Who Code, where they organized the weekly Ruby Tuesdays meetup and led a small core team. From 2012 to 2011, they were a Full Stack Developer and Release Manager at Apartment List, where they developed in Ruby on Rails and managed the weekly release cycle. From 2011 to 2010, they were a Software Intern, Backend Architect, and System Admin at Bytebite, where they designed the backend and wrote it in Spring. From 2010 to 2009, they were the Deputy Director & Founding Member of DeCal at Pioneers in Engineering, where they were an officer of Tau Beta Pi and managed the master schedule for all departments. Lastly, from 2009 to 2008, they were a Software Intern at Cubic Transportation Systems, where they worked with synchronizing two separate systems and utilized the .NET framework to auto-generate weekly status reports.

Amanda Canyon is currently enrolled at UC Berkeley Extension, studying Marketing. Amanda has also completed a degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
