Dean Thomson

Dean Thomson has diverse work experience in the fields of web development, software design, and media creative. Dean currently works as a Frontend Developer at Suade Labs since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at IBM as a Frontend Developer from September 2021 to February 2022. From December 2015 to August 2021, they worked at Derivco as a Developer, where they developed web and mobile solutions for gaming systems. Dean also has experience as a Web Designer at The Unlimited from October 2013 to May 2015, where they were responsible for maintaining company websites and designing a Digital Corporate Identity platform. Before that, they served as a Software Designer at Imply IT from June 2012 to October 2013, where they designed front-end frameworks and various graphical elements. Additionally, they have freelanced as a Web Developer and Graphic Designer, offering services such as storyboarding and sound engineering. Dean has also worked as a Media Creative at iX Online Motoring, creating digital marketing materials for dealerships. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Web Designer at Yell Adworks Ltd and freelanced as a Web Designer and Frontend developer under the trading name "Thomson Design." Dean started their career as a Picker/Packer at Cinram Logistics UK.

Dean Thomson began their education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2004, where they pursued a BA Honors degree in Music with a specialization in Music Technology. Dean completed their studies in 2007. In 2010, Dean attended The Home Learning College and obtained an ACA Certificate in Web Design. In terms of additional certifications, Dean obtained various qualifications from LinkedIn, including "ASP.NET MVC 5 Essential Training," "ASP.NET MVC: HTTP Request Life Cycle," "Building React and ASP.NET MVC 5 Applications," "React: Using TypeScript," "C# & .NET: Programming," and "Learning ASP.NET Core MVC." These certifications were obtained between 2019 and 2021.
