William (Bill) Coen

Bill Coen has extensive work experience in the financial industry, particularly in banking supervision and global banking standards. William (Bill) served as the Secretary General of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision from 2014 to 2019, where they directed the committee's work and managed its Secretariat. Prior to that, they were the Deputy Secretary General of the Basel Committee, responsible for coordinating the committee's response to the financial crisis and Basel III policy initiatives. Bill Coen also held various advisory and board positions, including serving as a member of the boards of directors for Buna, China Construction Bank, and Toronto Centre. William (Bill) is currently working as a Global Senior Advisor at KPMG and as a member of the Global Advisory Board at MUFG.
