Bill Coen has extensive work experience in the financial industry, particularly in banking supervision and global banking standards. William (Bill) served as the Secretary General of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision from 2014 to 2019, where they directed the committee's work and managed its Secretariat. Prior to that, they were the Deputy Secretary General of the Basel Committee, responsible for coordinating the committee's response to the financial crisis and Basel III policy initiatives.
