Dmitriy Kovsh

Dmitriy Kovsh has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Dmitriy began their career in 1994 as a Research Assistant at CREOL, University of Central Florida. From 1999 to 2005, they worked as a Senior Member Of Technical Staff at Tyco Submarine Systems. Dmitriy then joined Tyco Telecommunications (now known as TE SubCom) in 2005, where they served as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff until 2011. Since 2011, they have been working at SubCom, initially as the Director of Transmission Design and later promoted to Senior Director, System Design and Product Management, where they currently hold the role.

Dmitriy Kovsh earned their M.S. in applied physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) from 1988 to 1994. Dmitriy then pursued a Ph.D. in Optics/Optical Sciences at CREOL, School of Optics, University of Central Florida, from 1994 to 1999.
