Miguel Rodriguez

Miguel Rodriguez is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of optical and telecommunications engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Submarine Line Terminal Equipment Development at SubCom since February 2015, Miguel manages a diverse engineering team focused on developing advanced submarine line terminal equipment, including EDFAs, line monitoring equipment, ROADMs, and command/response equipment. Prior to this role, Miguel worked at Lumentum for over fourteen years, progressing from Optical Design Engineer to Senior Integration Engineer, where responsibilities included the design and manufacturing of EDFAs and collaborating with international manufacturing partners. Miguel holds a Ph.D. in Physics/Optics from Lehigh University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Saint Peter's University.
