R. Brian Jander

R. Brian Jander serves as the Sr Director of Network Element Testing at SubCom since October 1999, overseeing the development of subsea communications equipment from conceptualization to manufacturing. Jander's responsibilities include circuit and optical design, firmware requirements, and providing technical guidance to cross-functional engineering teams during system deployments. Prior to SubCom, Jander held the position of Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs from 1995 to 1999, focusing on electro-optic circuit pack design and testing. Jander’s career at AT&T Bell Labs began in 1979 as a Member of Technical Staff, where the work involved optical data link and component design. Jander holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master of Science in Physics, both from Lehigh University.
