Sarah Leighton

Sarah Leighton is a Marine Route Specialist at SubCom, having started in June 2023. Prior to this role, Sarah served as a Marine Intern at SubCom and held various positions, including Student Coordinator at the University of Washington District Market and Drinking and Groundwater Engineer and Surveyor Intern at the NH Department of Environmental Services. Additional experience includes serving as a Youth Program Coordinator at UNH Campus Recreation and as a Fisheries Interviewer at QuanTech, Inc. Sarah also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire and gained early experience as a Youth Camp Counselor at YMCA-East Bridgewater Branch and as a Front End and Produce Clerk/Manager at Stop & Shop. Education includes a Master’s degree in Marine Policy from the University of Washington (2022-2024) and a Bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of New Hampshire (2018-2022), complemented by a high school diploma from Cardinal Spellman High School (2014-2018).
