Scott Winfield

Director, Fleet Operations & Labor at SubCom

Scott Winfield has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Scott started their career as a Merchant Marine Officer with American Maritime Officers in 1991 and worked there until 1997. After that, they worked at Hvide Marine as an Owner's Representative and Marine Superintendent from 1997 to 1999. Scott then joined Tyco Submarine Systems as a Senior Marine Engineer from 1999 to 2001. Following this, they worked at Tyco Telecommunications (now known as TE SubCom) as a Senior Manager, Undersea Cable Maintenance from 2001 to 2002. Scott then moved on to Pacific Gulf Marine Inc as a Manager, East Coast Services from 2002 to 2004. Scott Winfield joined General Dynamics as a Senior Port Engineer from 2004 to 2007. Currently, they hold positions at SubCom, where they have held various roles including Senior Manager, Marine Engineering from 2007 to 2013, Senior Manager, Fleet Operations from 2013 to 2014, and their current role as Director, Fleet Operations & Labor since 2014.

Scott Winfield completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, spanning from 1987 to 1991. Scott further pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, which they completed from 2000 to 2002.
