John Farina is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Threat Detection Engineer at Sublime Security since November 2025. Previously, John held positions at Fortra as a Cybersecurity Researcher III and II, where notable contributions included automating reporting processes, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for threat intelligence analysis, and developing advanced threat detection tools. Prior to Fortra, John worked as a Threat Research Analyst at the National Security Agency, leading a team in network defense and producing agency-wide reports on adversarial techniques. John's career began with roles in data analysis and engineering, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Georgia.
