Glen Junor has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Glen is currently working as a Program Manager in the Public Sector at Sublime Systems since May 2023. Prior to this, from September 2021 to April 2023, they served as an Impact Fellow at the MIT Climate & Sustainability Consortium (MCSC). Glen also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they worked from August 2021 to September 2021.
Their earlier experience includes work as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, San Diego from August 2016 to June 2021. During this time, they conducted research on molecular electronic structure and focused on the synthesis and application of low-valent and low-coordinate main-group compounds. Glen also worked as a Graduate Student Teaching Assistant, responsible for teaching General Chemistry Lab, Organic Chemistry 1, and Organic Chemistry Lab 1.
Before joining UC San Diego, Glen was an Undergraduate Researcher at UC Irvine Department of Chemistry from July 2013 to June 2016. Glen worked on various projects, including the synthesis and characterization of quantum dots and organic chromophores for photovoltaic devices. Glen also gained experience in organic and organometallic synthesis techniques and characterization methods.
Glen's work experience also includes a summer internship at the University of California, San Diego in 2015, where they worked on the synthesis and characterization of carbenes.
Prior to their academic pursuits, Glen worked as a Chemistry and Math Tutor at Orange Coast College from January 2011 to August 2015. Glen also served as a Chemistry Stockroom Assistant at the college from July 2013 to October 2013.
Glen Junor began their education in 2009 at Orange Coast College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology. Glen completed this program in 2013 and then went on to study at UC Irvine. From 2013 to 2016, they engaged in a Bachelor of Science program in Chemistry. Following their undergraduate studies, Junor decided to continue their education at UC San Diego. Glen pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemistry, which they completed from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they embarked on a Doctor of Philosophy program in Chemistry at UC San Diego from 2016 to 2021. Throughout their educational journey, Junor focused on Chemistry, steadily progressing from an associate degree to a doctoral program.
