Luis Castrillo

Junior Thermal Engineer at Submer

Luis Castrillo is currently a Jr. Thermal Engineer at Submer. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant Intern at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from December 2019 to October 2020, where they developed building energy efficiency strategies through CFD simulations analysis. Luis also interned at ELECNOR from July 2019 to September 2019, where they were responsible for organizational tasks related to Elecnor clients, with a focus on HVAC equipment incidences during the summer season. Castrillo has also been Head of Cooling Systems at e-Tech Racing-Formula Student Team since June 2016.

Dr. Luis Castrillo is a mechanical and aeronautical engineer who earned their PhD from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Luis also holds an MSc in energy engineering from the same school, as well as a BSc in mechanical engineering. In addition, they have a certification in neural networks and deep learning from Coursera.

They work with Miguel Giner - Product Engineer, Edgar Ramon - Solution Architect, and Júlia Marsal - Robotics Engineer. Luis Castrillo reports to David Montes, Product Manager.
