Sam Caplan

Sam Caplan has a wealth of experience in the technology and data analytics space. Sam began their career in 1998 as a Technical Writer for Alltel Information Services. In 2000, they moved to Acxiom, where they held the roles of Business Unit Leader and Program Manager. In 2008, they became the Director of IT Staff for ABC Financial Services. From 2011 to 2018, they were at Walmart, where they served as Director of Technology and Data Analytics for the Walmart Foundation and IT Director. In 2020, they founded New Spark Strategy, and in 2021, they assumed the role of Vice President of Social Impact at Submittable.

Sam Caplan obtained a BA in English from the University of Central Arkansas between 1995 and 1998. Sam has also attained certifications as a Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) from the Quality Assurance Institute and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
