Steven Schaefer is an experienced engineering specialist with a focus on heavy lift operations in the offshore oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Regional Heavy Lift Lead for Subsea 7 in the US Gulf of Mexico since January 2018, Steven also holds the position of Lead Engineer for SURF and Heavy Lift at EMAS AMC Inc, where responsibilities include developing procedures for heavy lift items and barge alongside operations. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Installation Specialist at Technip USA from 2005 to 2014, where Steven developed offshore procedures for various installations, including mooring piles and manifold systems. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University, completed in 2004.
