Alex Raksin

Alex Raksin has extensive experience in communications and writing, serving as a columnist for Substack since February 2015 and previously as a communications executive at the Los Angeles Times for over 25 years until 2007. Raksin was the Chief Executive Officer of Creative Connectors from February 2007 to January 2014, overseeing a marketing firm focused on SEO and lobbying. Additionally, Raksin held the position of Editorial Director at the Center for Governmental Studies from November 2010 to September 2012, where storytelling and creativity were employed to enhance the center's nonpartisan policy research. Raksin holds a B.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Southern California and multiple Master's degrees from UCLA in Social Work, Public Policy Analysis, and Counseling Psychology.
