Dan Stone

Dan Stone is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the realms of literature, music, and culture. Currently serving as the Head of Culture & Music at Substack since October 2020, Dan collaborates with leading writers and artists across various fields. As Bar Owner and Creative Director at North Light, a multifaceted establishment in Oakland, Dan curates a bookshop featuring works from esteemed authors and musicians. Dan has also conducted high-profile interviews for City Arts & Lectures, authored and edited educational literature with Pearson, and produced an insightful book on the financial industry with HarperCollins. Previous roles include founding and leading Radio Silence, managing programs at the National Endowment for the Arts, and teaching literature and math at The Berkeley School. Dan holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University and a BA in English from Colorado College.
