John Malatras

John Malatras is an experienced iOS Engineer and Tech Lead at Substack, where contributions have been made since August 2021. Previously, John held roles as a Catalyst Fellow at On Deck and as a Founding Engineer at Cocoon, which was acquired by Substack. Prior experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, where work focused on developing the Chromium-based Edge browser, and internships at Bank of America, AT&T, and Cogentrix Energy. John co-founded two startups during college, gaining essential engineering, product, and business skills, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University.
