Kelly Thompson is an accomplished writer in the comic book industry, currently contributing to DC Comics with the ongoing series ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN and BIRDS OF PREY since January 2023. Additionally, Kelly has worked with Marvel Entertainment since February 2015, winning Eisner Awards for Best Humor Series (IT'S JEFF, 2024) and Best Series (BLACK WIDOW, 2021), with notable credits including CAPTAIN MARVEL, SPIDER-MAN, and DEADPOOL. Other collaborative efforts include creator-owned projects at Image Comics like THE CULL and BLACK CLOAK, as well as work with Substack, where Kelly publishes comics and original prose. Previous experiences include writing for Archie Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, IDW Publishing, and BOOM! Studios, alongside a freelance career that includes the Amazon Best Seller THE GIRL WHO WOULD BE KING. Kelly holds a BFA in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design.
