Matt Starr

Matt Starr is an accomplished creative strategist and producer with extensive experience in various media and publishing roles. Currently at Substack as a Creative Strategist & Events, Matt builds buzz and produces events, collaborating with writers throughout the process. Matt is also the founder of Dream Baby Press, a New York-based book press known for hosting readings and events featured in prominent publications. Previously, Matt served as Director at Trotter&Sholer, managing operations and creating digital content, and held executive producer roles at multiple companies, including Magilla Entertainment and Xpedition, where development of innovative docuseries focused on older adults took place. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts from Indiana University Bloomington, as well as a certificate in Documentary Film from New York University, Matt combines artistic vision with media expertise.
