Sophia Northridge

Sophia Northridge, PhD, is a successful and collaborative energy transition leader with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, now focusing on carbon capture, transport, and storage. Currently, they serve as a Non-Executive Board Director at the Carbon Capture and Storage Association and lead CCUS transport and storage strategy for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in the UK. Sophia has held significant roles, including Strategy Leader at Equinor and various senior geoscientist positions at Tullow Oil, where they contributed to major discoveries and organizational change. They also pursued a PhD in Geology/Geochemistry at Trinity College Dublin, furthering their expertise in the field.
