Senior XR Engineer at SubVRsive

Jordan Smith has worked in a variety of roles since 2017. In 2021, they began working as an XR Engineer III and XR Engineer I at Subvrsive. In 2020, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at UF Digital Worlds Institute, where they taught Unity and Android application development to 100+ students and tutored them in one-on-one weekly sessions. In 2019, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at UF Computer & Information Science & Engineering, where they taught undergraduates the core fundamentals of C++ and graded student assignments, labs, and projects. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at Dycom Industries, Inc., where they coded for 40 hours a week in an Agile development team to develop software to service all of Dycom's 40 subsidiaries, developed a Wikipedia-like website for Dycom's company terms and processes, and designed a tooltip plugin. In 2017, they worked as a Server at Chuy's Restaurants.

Jordan Smith began their educational journey in 2016 at Santa Fe College, where they earned an Associate of Science in Computer Science. Jordan continued their studies at the University of Florida, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2020. Jordan is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Digital Arts & Sciences at the University of Florida, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
