Pat Lillis is a Senior Software Engineer at Suite Studios. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Manager at SoundHound Inc. from July 2019 to December 2021, and a Software Engineer at Google from July 2016 to July 2019.

At SoundHound Inc., Pat led hiring efforts for the team: screening candidates, training interviewers, and onboarding new hires. They were also a people manager for a team of 7 engineers, responsible for career coaching, process improvements, and conflict resolution. In addition, Pat worked with stakeholders/leadership to define priorities, timelines, and resource allocation for web team projects.

At Google, Pat built a new analytics dashboard for YouTube TV. Designed and implemented complex front-end components using Angular Dart, and contributed to our back-end infrastructure written in C++. They also worked on developing a prototype video collection device using the Android Things platform running on a Raspberry Pi and connected to a Nest cam. Re-implemented the ADB protocol in Java to allow the Raspberry Pi to communicate with the camera. Lastly, Pat built a prototype data annotation tool to turn the collected video data into ground truth for our team's machine learning model. This included building a web interface for human annotators to use, as well as a large-scale data pipeline written in C++ which processed high loads of video data in parallel to prepare for annotation.

Pat Lillis has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Dayton.
